The powerful four-stage cleaning system offers excellent dust pickup on hard and carpet floors, while intuitive swing-out side brushes and dual suction channels clean in corners. Its 8.5 cm height lets it get under furniture with low levels. Front cameras and infrared sensor help it navigate barriers, thresholds and obstacles with ease.
top robot vacuum RX3 impressed us in our test on how well it was able to clean baking powder from baseboards and corners. Its suction of 2,500Pa was weaker than other robots, but it was still very quiet and moved quickly. It did not mop and its cleaning pad that was removable was a challenge to attach. It also wasn't able to take on dirt that had dried up.
Its app lacks advanced features, such as multiple cleaning modes or automated scheduling. It does support Alexa however its voice controls aren't very intuitive or responsive. It's also a bit sporadic when it comes back to the charging station after an exercise. Other robots can follow an obstruction or follow a previous route, but the RX3 is a mess until it quits.
We also experienced issues with the intelligent features of the device, namely its mapping feature and the digital stay-out zones. It was good at keeping our furniture legs and shoes away however it could easily get hung up on socks, cables, and rug. We didn't include the Scout RX3 on our Best Buy list. The Scout RX3 offers a good price and a dazzling performance. It's worth a look as an alternative to uprights that are traditionally used.
